Our bus to Sivas was scheduled for 08:00 from Ankara, and we were there an hour beforehand, skipping breakfast for it. When we arrived, our bus was canceled, just canceled. They told us to just book another bus with another company, and we would have to wait until 10:00. As we were one hour early, this meant we were basically hanging around the station for 3 hours.

The purchase didn't load in the app, so all I had was a screenshot of the booking, and the guy just wanted to give me a scrawly note with reservation numbers that were barely visible.

The journey meant we would reach Sivas at around 17:00, passing barren desert-like landscapes along the way, stopping once for refreshments where Stanislav had his beloved "Mercimek Çorbası," red lentil soup.

The weirdest thing was that while we had WIFI on board, random Turkish people started contacting us via Instagram, explaining that there had been an error in payment at the hotel. At first, it was relatively polite, explaining that the error would be deducted from their salaries, but then the threats came in, allegedly from the hotel in Ankara. Even if there was a mistake, sending messages like this via Instagram is just wrong.

Finally, the bus arrived in Sivas, and Yildiz, our taxi driver, dropped us off at the Ramada Hotel. We were now getting used to the hotels, which came across as very "bling bling" and very luxurious.

We quickly dropped off our bags and went for a walk. I had basically run out of clothes and ended up buying new underwear, socks, and t-shirts.

There were also a few supermarkets, so we picked one and bought bread, cheese, and salad stuff.

The staff was kind enough to deliver plates, knives, and forks to our room, and I can tell you, even if it came from a supermarket, this was one of the nicest salads I have had in a long time!
