Asia Tour 2026 - Day 21/25 - 30th August - Incheon, South Korea - City 13/15 - Country 8/9
Upon arrival, we joined the long queue for the immigration and got an actual sticker in our passports. Without stating the obvious, the first thing I noticed is that everything was written in Korean, a language that I had zero knowledge of its written or spoken form.
Outside the airport we quickly picked up a taxi and for the entire journey, the phone and navigating system was pinging like crazy with a semi hysterical female voice.
When we arrived at our hotel, there was an older guy watering plants and he approached the car and removed our bags. We had paid for two nights but we arrived early in the morning. We were assigned the "Beijing Room". We had a two hour sleep before walking to the nearest railway station "Unseo". The whole place seemed so alien to me, and the hot humid air and the almost white noise of insects made me feel like I was on another planet. I paid with cash and the journey to Seoul took an hour.
