When we arrived at Seoul station, it was painfully obvious that "regular" taxis didn't operate. I had an idea. We would find a place for coffee, then using the WiFi order an uber to the temple. It worked and we were set off at Gyeongbokgung Palace where we walked around fora good two hours.

There was a rule that if you hired a traditional costume the ticket was free, as it happens the ticket was cheaper than the costume, but it made for interesting photos. After then palace we wandered around the streets and shops and bought cards and souvenirs and even Korean wine.

With the travel and walking, we were both tired, and searched for a place to eat. I was very keen on having something western. Most of the places were a dystopia of anonymous touch screens and chaos. Finally we found a place that cooked to order, I ordered the kimchi pancake, and Stanislav then seaweed and mussel soup, the soup arrived boiling to the table in a spectacular kind of way. There were also lots of little dishes with rice, kimchi, bean sprouts, green veggies, soy sauce. It felt like a real special treat! We had "Terra" beer with the food which was eaten with stainless steel chopsticks.

After dinner, I had this idea to pick up a stray WiFi signal on the street, and it worked! I was able to order an uber to the railway station. The taxi was the same as before, frantic pinging and a female voice that seemed in a panic. The train was freezing going home, and the contrast was huge on arrival, the warm humid air hit us, with the sound of the insects in the background.

When we arrived back at the hotel, I tried the Korean wine, not a tope wine but still a lot better than Kazakh wine.
