It was raining again, and we subjected ourselves to the bad hotel breakfast, a sort of ravioli and cold eggs. I ate the cold eggs and nothing else. We entered the city for a walk towards the Ali and Nino moving statues, which were actually out of order as they are supposed to move towards each other and merge. We wandered around and dipped in and out of the tourist shops.
What can you do on such a day? I decided we should go up the alphabet tower, where there was a restaurant and bar at the top with a view overlooking the city.
As my stomach was in a bad way, I just had mineral water. We descended again, going for a walk and stopping for more water. I was hoping Borjomi would cure my intestines. I was still not okay, so we returned to the hotel for a bit.
Later on my own, I had a khachapuri which I couldn't even finish, and we had a couple of beers even though I was feeling awful. Then I had an early night as we needed to be up early the next morning.
