Breakfast at Fellini's

First we had coffee and tea in the room, which Stanislav prepared, it was already decided that we should go to Fellini's again. It was a bright sunny day, perfect albeit a bit cold. The owner in Fellini's recognised us immediately and came over for a chat. I ordered scrambed eggs with sourdough bread, and Stanislav of course ordered porridge. After breakfast we made our way down Patrick's street to catch the bus to Blarney. There were Dutch people in front of us on the bus, but when I spoke to them they didnt seem that impressed at all.

Blarney Castle

We made our way to the castle and the gardens, I climbed straight to the top, and Stanislav got lost somewhere. He eventually found his way and we both kissed the Blarney Stone. It turned out the when it was my turn the phone wasn't recording, just as well with all my cursing as they hung me over the side of the castle wall!

The castle grounds interestlingly had an extensive collection of posionous plants. I briefly contemplated making a tea for someone I know using these plants!! But in the end we went for coffee before catching the bus back to Cork city,

Pint of Beamish

When we returned, I decided to have a quick look in Brown Thomas (department store), as an example they had a wonder Waterford Crystal set of vodka glasses in a crystal cooler for just 650 euros. Close by, there was a gourmet sausage restaurant where Stanislav bought a fancy Irish hot dog, after which we went to An Bodhrán which was just around the corner. I had ordered the drinks, and as I was waiting I noticed there were signed paper money notes from around the world, actually mainly the USA. I gave the lady 20 Serbian dinars to pin on the wall. This got the attention of Andrej, a Slovenian who was standing behind me and we ended up speaking Serbian for the rest of the time there.

After a few pints, we headed to O'Dwyers and we ordered food. Stanislav had soup and a harmburger, and I had Indian style veggie starters and main course. I could barely finish the food and abandoned a glass of wine.

A robin I met

We went for a walk after the large meal where we found a Croatian run café. I ordered a water and continued speaking in Croatian. We left early as we had to catch a taxi at 04:00 the next day.
