Chilling
Chilling

I was well rested, and headed down for breakfast then straight off to the university where I joined the language ice-breaker. We had to change seats every 3 minutes to find a new conversation partner. Of the many people there was a woman from New Zealand and a man from Mali, both of whom spoke to me in French.

Euskara
Euskara

After the ice-breaker I went to the presentation on Euskara which was given in Italian. This is a language which has long interested me fore many reasons and I am still tempted to learn it. Euskara has mant dialects and again the subject was whether not a standard was a good thing, something we know about in Irish.

German Table
German Table

I head into the garden again to chat before going to the German practise table. I didn't stay long as I wanted to "reset" my brain for my own presentation in Irish so I headed back to the hotel and slept for a couple of hours, then showered and brought all my props with me, Irish chocolate, some books including two Irish language textbooks, some mugs, and two pens as well as a selection of beers.

The Gayglots
The Gayglots

Horror of horrors, when I opened my presentation the formatting was all off and all the flag icons had disappeared, buy I had to run with it. The Danish guy and The Norwegian guy were in the audience so I am glad they go to see my viking cartoons! I was happy with my AI generation cartoons and I was very pleasantly surprised as people picked up Irish very quickly, but then again these were polyglots.

At the concert
At the concert

After dinner in the canteen, where the self service beer was quite good, we all went to the "Bobby Hall" where we went to a multi-lingual concert. As my talk was done and dusted I could relax and had many beers meeting new and old friends along the way.
