Day 10 - Belgrade - 11 September 2019
I had a reasonable sleep in, I got up updated my facebook photos and had a shower. There was a nice Del Haze supermarket next to the hostel so I bought some krompiruša a banana and some orange juice. I had to go all the way back up the stairs and enjoyed my breakfast in the hostel. I left the hostel and had coffee in a place called ХЛЕБ И КИФЛЕ actually it was caffé latte.

Nikola Tesla
The weather was too hot but I made my way to the Nikola Tesla museum. I waited outside with some other people for ages. The museum was little disappointing.

Belgrade
I returned to the hostel again and changed into shorts. I went to the city and had some more coffee and some gorgeous chocolate and wrote some postcards. I made my way to zeleni venac, on the way there I found an excellent bookshop with lots of language books, I almost bought a teach yourself Greek book!

Cat
In zelen venac I got tickets for the bus and passed what looked like a castle for cats and a little tiny kitten came to me. I really wanted to kidnap him. I was supposed to get bus 72, but missed that as nobody wanted to help me find the bus stop. Eventually I found the correct bus stop. The bus filled up really quickly. We left the old city and made our way across a bridge to Novi Beograd, it looked very interesting! The bus arrived at the airport with just enough time to meet Stanislav and we returned to the city and the hostel again via a gay pride exhibition that I had already visited on my way.

Alo alo restaurant
In the hostel I messaged Ivan, apologising that I could not meet him. We ended up having a nice snack of krompiruša anyways. We got showered and headed out for some food and found a great pizzeria called 'allo 'allo and git pizza and soup. The pizza was reasonable for the soup was excellent! We had some raking to start, that is always nice. For the meal I had a nice white wine.

Stanislav at hotel Moskva
After the meal we walked towards Hotel Moskva. There was somebody playing the piano and huge TV screens showing all kinds of adds and the famous celebrities who stayed there before. I had a very nice red wine which Stanislav treated me to, and afterwards we continued back to the hostel. On the way we bumped into a French guy show spoke Serbian. One last drink in Koma, I had a very nice local IPA. Then it really was time for bed.
In a word: #Одмор
