The early bus

We got up at 03:30 in the morning. When we made our way to then bus stations the parties were still going, we past partying youths and sleeping drunks. We passed by the market which was already buzzing at 04:00 with lots of tomatoes, peppers, grapes... We then stood in line and waiting for the bus.

The bus finally arrived and there were some Turkish speaking Bulgarians including one very whiny fat old woman. Off we went and we passed by some mountains as woe drove in the dark. Out first stop was Dimitrigrad, there was also a very busy market too lots and lots of peppers! We saw a nice castle there too. At the border we had to stand outside, and the fat lady was complaining in three languages. We got a Serbian stamp and back onto the bus. Then we went a bit further and got back off the bus again. Now the lady was compiling again and wanted to skip the queue! We let her. I had prepared a packed breakfast, so I opened the plastic container but it had already leaked all over my bag! In Sofia I ended uo dumping the rest in a bin.

When we reached the city we took a coffee and started exploring. We ended up meeting a German girl and South African girl and during coffee later I spoke to an Italian.

We went to the room, it was not ready. According to our booking we could check in from 13:00. We went off and got food and Bulgarian beer.

Finally we were allowed to enter our room at 16:00. The anrky cleaning lady was spying on us from the corridor. We had to pay extra for towels! To shower I took the shower head and sat on the loo with my feet win the basin. Water water everywhere! Never mind, I return to the room and had crisps and cheap beer!
