Day 16 - Thessaloniki - 17 September 2019

Thessaloniki Station
We decided to sleep in, I managed to sleep until about 10:00. We got showered then headed downstairs to a closely restaurant. I had the most wonderful omelette with feta cheese and olives. I also had two gorgeous cappuccinos. Stanislav had Greek coffee and moussaka. We then made our way to the railway station and arranged the bus ticket to Skopje, we also sent postcards. Onwards to the city it was, with another stop at a supermarket where we stocked up. I got a small bottle of retsina, but I was to forget this later on and leave it on the hotel fridge!

Roman Agora
We did some exploring, Stanislav was not at all impressed with the Roman Agora, full of broken crap! We visited a cathedral which had been badly damaged by fire in 1917.

A bar called "sun"
Right beside it was a Mosque which was converted into a bar! We finished our tour at the white tower by the sea, so I we decided to stop and have a drink. I was enjoying the moment so I stayed and Stanislav went back to the hotel.

Retsina wine
Eléonora, the French girl contacted us and joined at the bar, later Stanislav returned. We just about had enough time to catch the sunset.

We continued onwards to to a nice restaurant. I had a lovely Greek salad there.

Sunset in Thessaloniki
We finishen up in a bar called "don't tell mama". I had some red wines and chatted to a girl from Pula, Croatia. We called it a night and walked back to the hotel where we came across some traditional Greek dancing on the way.
In a word: #Μεθυσμενοσ
