The bus to Macedonia at the Greece-Macedonia border

We got up bright and early again, this time 06:00, we packed up everything and walked to the station. Oh shit, I forgot the nice olives and Retsina in the hotel! I slept through most of the way to the border. We spent ages there, and I even bought Greek wine at the Duty free shop. Again we passed y some lovely scenery.

Finally we arrived in Skopje, where my mother was in 1963. It had bright red double decker buses and huge kitch monuments I loved it! Now Google lied again! I took absolutely ages to navigate! After several messages we finally met our guy at the Gate of Macedonia, a sort of Arc de Triumph.

We were led to a large shopping centre. Our building was a rather large old style communist block. We were one the sixth floor. Stanislav went to the shops and I slept. We slept some more when he returned. I woke up and decided to try to find the supermarkt myself, it took ages but I found it! Getting back to our apartment block was a problem, and I got lost - in a shopping centre! I had to call Stanislav and ask where the fuck our place was! Yeah, busied a back, but couldn't find the bank! In the end I found it, and had bread, cheese and Greek wine!
