Day 27 - Lukavac to Rotterdam - 28 September 2019

Bucko/Biko the cat

I set my iPhone alarm and it woke me at 07:00. We had booked at taxi for 08:30. Stanislav heard the alarm and said "get up" "kupati" (wash) "shave too, you don't look good!". So I had a quick shave and shower and met Bucko the cat in the kitchen. He bit me! I called him a bastard! I sat down and Martha brought over her gorgeous home made bread with some fried eggs along with some home made pickled pepper too.

The taxi came and I felt very emotional saying goodbye. This was now my 5th visit to Lukavac. We passed the power station on the way to the airport. Again more goodbyes and I paid the driver 25 KM. Firstly I noticed that the whole airport was modernised since my last visit! I went on the internet for a bit then check din my luggage still using the Bosnian language the whole time. Eventually the gate opened I went through to security and passport control.

I still had some Bosnian Marks, so I had a cappuccino too. I was slow boarding the plane until I noticed that I actually had a priority pass! Once we boarded we were told we had a delay as we missed our flight slot. I had a chat with the guy next to me and finally we took off. We flew right over Lukavac, I could see the lake and the soda factory. Wishing two hours we had touched down in Eindhoven where I caught the bus to Eindhoven station and the train to Rotterdam. I got a taxi home and decided to not unpack. It was gay pride in Rotterdam but I was not interested. I made pasta dish and watch a film with a couple of glasses of wine.

In a word: #Thuis
