I woke up and heard "La Signora in Nera" but I needed to pee, I lay there and was trying to devise a plan such as finding an empty bottle or something. It suddenly went quiet so I grabbed the key and ran for it! Afterwards I went for my now usual brioche, juice and cappuccino. I used the time to write my journal and some postcards. I could only send out 8 as they didn't have any stamps for the USA. I continued after breakfast grabbing espressos here and there, looking for books. I ended up buying a book called "I luoghi e i racconti più strani di Padova" I also finally found "Il System Periodico".

Excellent wine

I slowly returned to base, I had one last walk down via Marzolo before retiring to my room to read "The Cut Out Girl" and had as snooze for around 90 minutes. I freshened up and had a small meal at a place called "La Proseccheria", a mediocre rectangular pizza and an Aperol Spritz. I then wandered around to "Ai Tadi" where I finally had an excellent wine from Colli Euganei. We couldn't go to the colli, so the colli came to us! I finished my wine and had an IPA beer in James Joyce when I got a message from Sabrina.

Piazza dell'Orologio

I made my way to Piazza dell'Orologio and had a couple of wines before Sabrina and Federico arrived. Just as I was reaching for my phone I got a message and stood up and there they were! It was getting a bit cold, but we chatted away about life, about Padova and bought a drink for Fede before making a detour to Casa Roma where I dropped off some stuff before walking then to the car because there were some "cativi" there. We exchanged bear hugs.... when will we meet again?? I return to my room.
