Day 8 - Lukavac to Belgrade- 9th of June 2023

Hotel Millenium

I got up for breakfast, not actually feeling too good at that stage. After breakfast the hotel allowed me to stay a bit longer free of charge!

Something we saw on arrival in Belgrade

I went to the Petrak house at 15:00 and again our driver Mišo picked us up for Tuzla station at 15:30. Our bus to Belgrade was at 16:30 and we already had e-tickets. The journey was long and we got our passports stamped first in Bosnia, and then in Serbia. My passport is getting very full of Balkan stamps! On the Serbian side we got some ice-cold water before continuing our journey Belgrade where it was already getting dark.

Parliament Buildings in Belgrade

On arrival we tried to get a taxi. We noticed hoards of protesters had taken over the city, so we ended up walking to the rented accommodation which was right behind the parliament buildings. We did have elaborate instructions on how to find our keys and enter the building etc.

Once we got inside, I went back outside and bought some water from the kiosk and a cheese burek. The Serbian bureks are not as nice as in Bosnia, so I ended up throwing away half of it.
