I woke up at 07:30 and went tenth doctor for a blood test. Afterwards, I had a nice breakfast with fried eggs in olive oil with butter toast and fresh coffee. I had a quick clean up and headed to Rotterdam CS.

Stanislav at "Il Giornale"
I was early, Stanislav arrived at 12:10 which was just enough time to catch the train to Eindhoven. We decided to have a nice Italian meal rather than eat overpriced bad quality airport food. We went to "il Giornale" both of use starting with a lovely tomato soup. I also had pasta with pesto which I could not finish, and Stanislav had pasta with meat, washed down with Pino Grigio wine.
We caught the bus to the airport, and as we were early I had a red wine and we got talking to two Germans who were on their way to Sicily. Finally our flight was called at 17:10. At passport control they discovered I had indeed taken an expired passport!! It was now 4 years expired. Luckily I had a passport card, so I was allowed through.

Boarding the flight
I sat at the front of the plane, so I got through passport control relatively quickly and ended up waiting for Stanislav, who was placed at the rear of the plane. we quickly found the tram to the city centre which cost 7.50.

Spooky Edinburgh
Edinburgh by night has a spooky feel to it, we made our way to the hotel through dark alleys and steep streets. Once checked in we waited for Erica, Barbara and Heather who were out having dinner. We all met up and went out drinking until quite late.
