Scottish Brekky
After a nice shower in the hotel, Stanislav and I found a nice place for breakfast. Stanislav had porridge while I had the vegetarian roll with veggie haggis. We then met the girls who were having a late breakfast.

Edinburgh Castle
We wandered through The Grassmarket past some stalls selling food and touristy things. Stanislav bought a t-shirt and we found a pub, ordered coffee and started writing postcards.
We wandered up the steps towards the castle in the weak sunshine, although it was sunny it was still a bit chilly. by the time we reached the castles the girls informed us that they were on their way. We bought tickets for 13:30 which gave us 90 minutes to explore the locality. We wandered around various tourist shops and got some soft drinks inTesco. I always have to buy lucozade.

Erica almost destroyed the statue
When we returned to the castle, the sky was a wonderful azure colour and the sun was shining. It took us 3 hours to finish our tour of the castle including the Crown Jewels which we unfortunately not allowed to photograph.

Mac 'n' Cheese
Stanislav, Barbara and I explored a little more while Erica and Heather found a place for dinner. They were waiting in a place called "The Filling Station". I ordered a Mac 'n' Cheese, Stanislav and Barbara had a pizza and Erica and Heather shared various finger foods. The Mac 'n' Cheese was excellent which was washed down with a very decent 250 ml glass of Pino Grigio. We also ordered some lovely garlic bread.

Yes, this cost me 9 pounds!
After dinner we rested for a bit, but Stanislav's eye had become rather swollen so he decided to have a night in. I went out at 20:30 and bought a puny little glass of whiskey for 9 pounds, followed by a pint of Tennants lager. While waiting for the girls a bloke from Manchester kept coming up to me and speaking unintelligible drunk gibberish, he was friendly though!

Family night out
I finished the pint and me and the girls headed to a pub a little further down. Erica and Heather ordered a bottle of Prosecco, that always makes me think we were celebrating something special, and I suppose we were. Various random guys came up to speak to us culminating in Erica throwing a glass of Prosecco over some Welsh bloke.
Me and Heather made a hasty exit and grabbed a taxi to the gay bars. We ended up in cc Blooms were I ordered a pint of Tennants but abandoned half of it as it was toooo packed.
In a word #CASTLE
