Monday 29th August 2022

01:30 I woke up and quickly packed up everything, just before 02:00 we went down to the courtyard. Lascha was not there so I went to the apartment and rang the bell and he appeared in his underwear with his dog by his side. Within literally 2 minutes he was downstairs and we started our drive to the airport.

The flight from Kutaisi to Dortmund

We checked in and I bought sandwiches and cappuccino burning my hand was it spilled everywhere. I was very surprised that everything was still open. I used up the last of my cash and bought 4 wines, a cookbook and a book about wine. Finally we boarded for Dortmund and after 4 hours we landed. When we arrived we noticed two things, the prices of everything and the Corona hysteria in Germany. My next problem was a screwed up the bookings, so I ended up booking on the spot, I still had another booking for September which I never used.

Dortmund

We slept a bit and later explored the town. We found a terraces and I ordered a baked potato, coffee and later in the day we found a nice German style restaurant. Stanislav had a schnitzel and I had a vegetarian dish but we both had some tomato soup. The half carafe of white German wine was slightly offensive to my nose after all that wonderful Georgian wine. Our hotel was next to a DVD and CD sop, so I bought some films and CDs and had a nice riesling in Wein! Wein! Wein! One more wine, this time a santa Madelena from Italy and an early night.
