Fairytale Germany

From Frankfurt we took the train to Darmstadt and changed for a local train. All the time Claudia hanging he clothes out the window to try to try them. At some stage the train stopped in the middle of nowhere, We popped our heads out and Claudia asked "Sind war in Höchst I'm Odenwald?". The answer was a resounding "nein" so we returned to our seats.

Finally in Höchst I couldn't believe my eyes. I had ended up in some kind of Brother's Grimm fairytale village. We didn't stop there, we had to make it to "Odenwald konserven" a large jam factory with free accommodation. The line workers were either Irish students or Turkish immigrants. The Irish had given nicknames to all of the machines. The one I remember was "The Bollox" and all the Irish hated being assigned to it. I was shown "The Bollox" and we quickly retired to the dorms, which was just a corridor where you grabbed a mattress.

06:00 and Monica a manager walked in gently kicking the mattresses and asking everyone if they wanted to get up for work. I could here some low groaning sounds as the Irish students reluctantly got up for work and hoping they would not be assigned "The Bollox".
