The train
The train

As the train made its way south, we passed Augsburg and then München, the final frontier before crossing the Alps. I was in despair as the weather was really bad, and I really wanted to see the Alps on this crossing. Somewhere around 07:00, we left München and started climbing towards Innsbruck. Luckily, the sky had started to clear, and the mountains were starting to be visible!

In Innsbruck station, I dumped my bags, this time for 6 euros compared to the Dutch 36 euros! On exiting, I saw the familiar backdrop, which was this time enshrouded with fluffy, wispy clouds.

Not far from the station I found myself a lovely place for cappuccino and a cheese and onion roll. I love the traditional baked goods from Germany and Austria. But as food goes this doesn't usually find its way onto blogs.

After coffee, I felt alive again and walked through the city, trying to recognize it from previous visits. I stumbled across a bar called "Café Nano." It had šljivovica on the menu, so I entered, of course! I ordered one, and it turned out that the owner was from Brčko.

I still had to write my postcards off I went to try and find a suitable place. I found a bar not far from the station, everyone was speaking Tyrolish I liked listening to them and greated them with "Grüß Gott"as is the custome there. I ordered a local riesling and was I sipped I wrote my postcards and listened tomthe wonderful accents. With less than an hour to go, I picked up my bags from the station and waited for the train to arrive, already I could hear that familiar Veneto sing song dialect!
