Limburg/Bosnia 2026 - Day 02 - Friday 12th June 2026 - Bosnia Trip - Day 02/04 - Arrival Bosnia - Bosnia

The plane

On the flight I felt emotional as I was returning to Bosnia. I could even see Lukavac from the air as it had cleared up but the earlier part of the journey I completely missed out on the Alps. I spoke to the people next to me, they loved in Germany. All the time I was admiring a large Bosnian flag which was hanging in the cabin, the passengers erupted when Bosnia had scored and the pilots announced it.

Proud Bosnian

We landed in Tuzla, nobody applauded, but I was hoping they would. I went through passport control, got my passport stamped and was immediately met by Sendo the taxi driver. I got some Bosnian Marks and standing outside I took a picture of one of the stewardesses who had a large Bosnian flag wrapped around her shoulders, so I took a picture with her permission of course. Sendo drove me to Lukavac speaking in Bosnian the whole time, as I entered Lukavac I felt joy at seeing all the landmarks I recognised.

Tuzlansko

Once I arrived at hotel Millennium a happy worker with a football shirt bounded up the stairs and greeted me in Bosnian, welcomed me and handed me my key. I quickly went downstairs as the party was wrapping up, I bought two bottles of Tuzlansko and went back to my room listening to cars hoot their horns and gun shots.
