Luzern - 12th September 1991

Almost ten years to the day before 9/11 I was in Switzerland. I only had a few hours in Lucerne, the weather was miserable and so were the people. I visited the old wooden bridge, which later burned down.

I remember remarking sarcastically to a young couple "fantastic weather isn't it" and it a strong Swiss German accent remarked "no, I sink it is kwite awful"
