Monday 30th December 2024 - New Year's Eve Eve

I felt groggy after the previous night, but Erica made a nice scrambled egg and toast breakfast, though I couldn't finish it.

Erica Bowling

After 12:00, we went to the Leisureplex in Tallaght, where we played 10-pin bowling, something I hadn't done in years. It was enjoyable, and I was better than I thought I was! When the bowling game was over, we played various gambling machines and tried to win some cuddly toys with those mechanical arm-grabbing things. We played air hockey before heading off to the "Bite Café," where I had a cheese and onion toastie and wonderful Italian-Irish thick-cut chips.

Guinness

We went back to Ballycullen and went to Scholar's pub. I started with a Guinness, followed by a few Hop House 13 beers, and I switched to prosecco as I was getting very full. We returned to the house where I had a glass of Chianti, but I was so full I couldn't finish it!
