I had a long lie-in; waking up to church bells is really quite special. I woke up, showered, and walked into the city in search of a nice place for coffee and brioche. They call croissants "brioche" here. I accidentally got lost and found a new square I had never been to and settled down to my cappuccino and brioche while pigeons caused chaos landing on tables.

After coffee it was onwards to Sant Antonio and Prato della Valle, it was a hot day and the place was crowded with tourists. I tried to go behind the cathedral but ended up at the army barracks and a residential area.

I continued full circle back to the Prato and continued back "home" and had a couple of cold beers at Caffè Cavour, always stylishly served with a small bowl of crisps.

I briefly considered going to Venezia, but decided just to enjoy the moment, "il dolce far niente" before going to PAM supermarket that I sued to go to back in 1992. I bought lovely bread, two types of cheese and local wine from "Colli Euganei". While the cheese was gorgeous the wine was absolutely terrible so I dumped it. It is something I always do, my happy meal of local bread, wine and cheese.

Towards the end of the evening I decided to walk to bar "umbe" it was closed so I made my way to another bar, with very few customers and annoying music. I had a wine then a cold beer and then to bar "code" where I had just one heineken before heading to bed. The evening was so much quieter and dead compared to the night before.
