Reykjavík, Iceland - Day 4 - Saturday 31st March 2024 _ Easter Sunday

The English Pub

I got up late and made toast and scrambled eggs, then headed back to bed. After a rest, we went to the English bar for some drinks where we spoke to a couple from Dublin. Then we went for a walk through the city again where we bought some lovely hand made chocolates, and I impressed the woman with my minimal Icelandic.

The boolstore/pub

After a very cold walk, we stopped by our now local, the bookstore/bar. We ended up speaking to a Romanian hippy covered in tattoos, even his face was covered, he was having a drink with his Icelandic friend. It turned our he was a bit of a polyglot and we ended up talking about languages and Corona and a lot more.

Chocolate Easter Eggs from Ireland

Back at the accomodation I cooked up a nice pasta dish, using butter as I didn't have any olive oil, and actually it truned out very delicious indeed! I had picked up two chocolate easter eggs, which reminded me of my younger days in Dublin, and it turned out that these chocolate eggs were actually from Dublin! We enjoyed our eggs, but some of our food had been stolen from the fridge.
