I had been out the previous night with Stanislav, Dennis, and Vladimir. We ended up drinking rakija! I had just about managed breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast, but I skipped coffee. I ordered an Uber to get to Schiedam station. I felt very queasy on the train ride.

Once in Schiphol, I was second in line at the check-in desk, almost 3 hours in advance. I got talking to a family from Dublin who went to Amsterdam for the Christmas markets, which didn't actually exist! As the flight was delayed, it gave me plenty of time to find gifts. The flight was pretty much uneventful. I actually had red wine while enjoying the view over the clouds.

Once I arrived in Dublin, I had to wait ages before my bag arrived. I was met by Barbara, Joanie, and Holly, and we drove back to Longwood in the dark.

Once in County Meath, I handed over the gifts, one extra as it was Holly's birthday, a Dutch book translated into English. I also bought Christmas presents for the girls as well as Dutch snacks, peanut butter, cheese, and even chocolate wine.

Barbara went off to get proper fish and chips from the local takeaway. The girls had nuggets and chips, and Barbara had a snack box. There really is something special about Irish-Italian chips.
Later I tried to watch "Scrooged" but went to bed at around 22:00.
