The previous night, I had been out celebrating Stanislav's 30-year anniversary in the Netherlands. I wasn't feeling fantastic and still had to go to work. After I had filled the NMR with nitrogen, which didn't run smoothly due to icing up of the fill ports, I headed to Rotterdam Centraal. From there, we continued to Schiphol and had a Murphy's stout and some substandard fish and chips.

The flight went without issue, and I was treated to the usual view of Howth and Dublin Bay as we landed. We quickly found a bus to Eden Quay and took the very scenic DART to Bray along the coast. Uncle John and Auntie Susan were there, smiling and waiting for our arrival.

We made a detour to Lidl, which actually made my day, so I picked up Irish cheese and soda bread, and I was sorted for the night!

We sat out in the garden until it got cold and went inside and chatted into the wee hours finishing on Gin and Tonic.
