Waiting for the train in Montréal

Up bright and early, I tidied up and packed my bags and stood outside. Goran and Stanislav picked me up and we drove to the station. Within a few seconds I had realised that I had left my camera in Goran's car. In a brief moment of panic, I called Goran who came back quickly and I was able to retrieve my camera.

Boarding the train

We stood in the queue for ages which turned out to be the Québec train, so we joined the right queue with a coffee. Eventually our train was called and we boarded and took our assgned seats. We passed through Dorval where I had to think of Tim. we eventually left the province of Québec behind and entered Ontario where I celebrated witha. couple of Molson beers. We passed by lake Ontario with its deep blue colour which actually looked more like the Adriatic especially with a beer in my hand.

Molson Canadian, the beer I used the drink

As we entered Toronto, I could clearly see my old building in Massey Square. I started feeling emotions, and realising that my last visit was 2001 but I very little recollection of the events due to my abusive relationship. Once we arrived in Unions station, we hailed a taxi to the accomodation on Queen Street west. A Chinese guy met us and let us in early, making it quite clear that we were 15 minutes too early, to my horror and surprise the bathroom consisted of a glass wall room where the shower and toilet were not separated, so that EVERYTHING got wet when showering.

The supermarket "Loblaws" which was better than I remembered it

We went looking for a supermarket, and found a Loblaw's a chain which I remembered from 1994. I stocked up on water and Canada dry.

Andrew and I reunited

We had a couple of hours before heading to Andrew's place. Andrew was my first love back in 1995 and I hadn't seen him since 1997 when we went to Italy together. Upon arrival, he poured me a Mount Gay rum with coconut water on the rocks. The meal was pasta alfredo aswell as some hard boiled eggs and a lovely salad. We drank some wine and chatted for ages, after which I dropped by "The Paddock" and had a few drinks and spoke to some locals.
