Breakfast in the Gay Village

We headed downtown where we had a lovely breakfast in the Gay Village before going to Union Station where we would meet Andrew.

A very moody skyline

It started to rain, so when Andrew arrived we waited to see if it would ease off. It really didn't so we all got soaked walking along what should have been a nice lakeside walk. Soaked and fed up, we grabbed a coffee at Tim Horton's where we saw a lot of Sheiks who were participating in a parade.

Aperol Spritz, it is obligatory!

We caught the tram to Little Italy, I was tasked with finding a suitabel place to eat, Andrew suggested Google, but I followed my instinct. And there it was! We were too early, so I introduced Andrew to Aperol Spritz until the pizzeria opened. I ordered a pizza quattro formaggi, Andrew ordered pizza con acciughe and Stanislav had the pizza di papà. This was all eashed down with Pino Grigio from Italy, I was so in heaven like it was back in Italy. I insisted we all have a nice shot of grappa, this one was particularly good.

Pizza

We walked back along Bathurst until we hit queen, stopping along the way in a music shop where I bought a Canadian CD, and Irish CD and one Belgium film. I love these second hand shops.

Labatt blue, the first Canadian beer I drank

Stanislav and Andrew headed back home, but I stayed out retrning to the Gay Village to do some bar hopping.

In a word #Italia
