I boarded the train early from Graz, changing in Brick aan der Mur. This was pre-internet, so I took my Let's go Europe, found a phone box and used my Austrian coins to call a local hostel.

I visited a supermarket for my standard cheese and bread and some mineral water. In the city I befriended some German tourists who were obsessed by the Kelly family, allegedly a Irish pop group that I never heard of. We heard to Stefansdom and in the cellar was shocked to see thousands of skulls and bones which dated back to the plague. I was so shocked I forgot to take a picture . The heads of my new friends are barely visible here.

I remember the weather being really miserable, and I went to the Sigmund Freud Museum which I was none to impressed by, and dressed in shorts I was freezing and decided to return to the hostel.
