Wednesday 1st January 2025 - New Year's Day

Drink with the neighbours just after midnight

We stayed up enjoying gin and tonic, and I retired to bed at around 3 a.m. In the morning, Barbara prepared a lovely breakfast with tasty veggie sausages, boxty, eggs, mushrooms, and the bread from the previous day.

Navan, Co Meath

In the afternoon, we headed up to Navan, another place I had never been to. We wandered around taking pictures for a bit, but all the shops were closed. It looks like a place I would like to return to. I popped into an exotic supermarket and picked up čipi čips from Croatia before joining Feargal and the girls for a coffee.

Barbara had bought cinema tickets to "Mufasa: The Lion King." The graphics were very realistic, but it was most definitely not my type of film!

After the film, we drove back to Longwood. We had a nice dinner again with the veggie sausages, and we watched the Whitney Houston film with a few glasses of wine, finishing with gin and tonics. It turned out to be another late night!
