Asia Tour 2026 - Day 8/25 - 17th August - Samarkand, Uzbekistan - City 6/15 - Country 4/9

Breakfast was a relatively simple affair, some sweaty cheeses that had been lying out for too long, and some very sad looking fried eggs that looked like they had been abused, and the bread was like cardboard.

At 12:00 our taxi driver and guide arrived and took us to a Jewish grave, we didn't enter but took a few pictures outside there was also an observatory he told us about that we also just took pictures of.

We also went to a beautifully decorated Shah-i-Zinda complex which had a paid entrance, I marvelled at the beautiful 40 shades of blue.

Next stop was another mosque that turned out to be the Bibi-Khanym again! We went to the nearby market which seemed less authentic and more like a tourist trap, that said I did buy a shirt there and Stanislav bought some scarves.

Our driver dropped us off at our hotel, so I sat in the courtyard enjoying some wine before going for a nap.

In the evening we went back to our trusted restaurant "The Boys" before going for a walk to take some pictures as the sun set.

In the evening I bought some snacks and wine and sat in the garden before retiring to bed.
