Römer

I don't think Claudia needed an alarm clock. She was always up bright and early. And Bright and early it was. She decided that sleeping in Saarbrücken would be much better if we slept on office chairs. I didn't really sleep that well at all... I remember Claudia sleeping soundly across two office chairs which wheeled around as she stirred during the night. It didn't seem to bother her. So with very little sleep we boarded a train to Frankfurt via Mainz. We changed in Mainz and board an EC which requires a supplement, so we pretended to sleep while the female asked "haben Sie zugestiegen?".

We arrived in Frankfurt, and Claudia had a rucksack on her back, and another one on her front and we nimbly hopped on and off the U-bahn. I had no idea where I was going. We arrived in Römer, a square in Frankfurt with traditional old houses. I revisited the same place and it didn't quite seem the same as the first time. Everything was a feast for the senses, even the warning sound that the doors were closing in the U-bahn. We ordered a meal which was on special offer, I ordered an orange juice which was the same price as the meal. Fed and watered. We travelled back to the Hauptbanhof and caught our train to Höchst.
