Kerrygold in Nicosia Airport
Kerrygold in Nicosia Airport

After waking up and packing, we made our way to the bus station. Our bus was to leave at 10:45, so we had lots of time, and Stanislav picked up some water and supplies at the nearby supermarket.

We were way too early at the airport and couldn't check in, so we grabbed a coffee until the 3-hour check-in time. The airport was by no means crowded, so check-in and security were very fast.

In the duty-free, Stanislav bought me a bottle of Saperavi and aftershave for himself. I bought us a couple of salads, total price 38 euros! We just hung around the airport for the rest of the time before the short 30-minute flight to Adana. As we took off, both Cyprus on one side and Turkey on the other side were visible at the same time.

Of course, flying means the hassle of getting off slowly, passport controls, and waiting for bags. We left the airport doors into the hot air only to see our bus pull off at exactly 17:00; we would have to wait another hour for the next bus at 18:00. We sat at the front of the bus, and I used my broken Turkish to communicate, and he used Google Translate too. Thanks to him, the bus driver let us off closer to the hotel, and we were able to walk there.

It was completely dark when we arrived. The hotel was, of course, very glamorous, but the lift didn't work. A friendly porter took our bags, and as the lift was wonky, he had to run upstairs, come down by lift, and take us and the bags upstairs!

We found a restaurant close by where we had a lovely evening meal before retiring.
