I got up at around 11:00 and was presented with a lovely scrambled egg and toast. After a couple of coffees, we bundled into the car: me, Sara, Neil, Izzy, Oscar, and the two dogs in the back. The Welsh border is only a couple of kilometers away, and the street signs turned bilingual, and now the mountains came into clear view.

By the time we reached Aber Falls, the sun was already setting. As we parked the car and stopped, the dogs went completely crazy in anticipation of the long walk. The dogs had to be restrained a few times because of the sheep and a few squirrels. Some of the walk was very muddy and also icy.

Once we reached the waterfall, we took some photos as Cyril went completely crazy, barking with excitement. Izzy, and especially Oscar, were enjoying climbing on the rocks.

The light was quickly fading, so we made our way back down to the car, the dogs now very quiet and exhausted. It was totally dark by the time we reached the car park.

We drove back to England in the dark, stopping off in Asda for shopping, and we had a wonderful spread of food for dinner, especially the cheese and potato pastries homemade by Neil's mother. I braved a beer, but it was too much. We finished off the night watching Indiana Jones together.
